Dersin Amacı: 
Dersin öncelikli amacı katılımcıların antropoloji teorilerini eleştirel bir perspektiften anlamalarıdır. Ders tamamlandığında katılımcılar farklı teorik pozisyonların temel prensiplerini karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edebilecek ve antropoloji teorilerinin gelişimini sosyo-tarihsel bir bağlama yerleştirebilecektir.
Dersin İçeriği: 

Ders geç 20. yüzyılda İngiliz, Amerikan ve Fransız antropoloji geleneklerini domine eden teorik yaklaşımları kapsamaktadır.
