Dersin Amacı: 
The goal is to provide the participants with an introduction to localization, by exposing them to standards and quality standards that are used in the industry with the help of computer-aided translation tools.
Dersin İçeriği: 

TRA 403 The course consists of lectures and laboratory work. TRA 403 overviews of the localization industry and as well as Globalization, Internationalization, Localization and Translation. Tools such as Trados, SDL Studio, GGL, SDLX, MemoQ also TMs and terminology management systems are taught as part of TRA 403. On top of managing these tools, basic computing knowledge is important, such as different file formats, file management, tags and character sets that are subject of this course. Participiants work with RTF, HTML, XML  file types using computer aided translation tools.
