Course Objectives: 
This course aims to demonstrate and discuss the transformation in Turkish poetry during Westernization Period.
Course Content: 

The Ottoman socio-cultural life changed in the 19th century by the vehicles of Westernization. The process affected the literature (poetry) inevitably.  Turkish poetry started to break with tradition.

Course Methodology:
