Course Objectives: 
This course aims to give a theoretical overview of Folk Literature using texts chosen from the early representatives of Turkish Folk Literature. To give information about foklore studies, introduce the methods of field research, recognize to the genres of folk literature, examine the genres of narrative folk literature different methods.
Course Content: 

The historical development of research on folklore and folk literatüre in the World and Turkey, the contents, properties and functions of folklor, sources of folk literatüre and folk narratives.

Course Methodology:
