Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to provide a general introduction to linguistics through an illustration of its basic concepts from the languages of the world in comparison to Turkish.
Course Content: 

This course presents the fundamentals of the way modern linguistics approaches to language while comparing it with the traditional approaches. It also demonstrates why the approach to language taken in linguistics must be favored over traditional approaches. Doing that, Turkish is studied, among other languages, focusing on the phonetic, phonological and structure of Turkish.
