Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to supply general information about “textual genres” with examples from Western and Turkish Literatures. The aim of the second part is to show the ways in scientific research, the resulting housings, interpret, teach the techniques of report writing and thesis writing.
Course Content: 

This course deals with literary genres, using examples chosen from the main representatives of certain genres. The relationship between the expectations of the reader regarding the genre of a text and the influence of his expectations upon the reception of a text will be discussed.

In the second part, scientific research methods, scientific text resources and research processes, especially with examples from Turkish literature will be discussed.
