Course Objectives: 
Building on the first introductory course, TRA 107, this course aims to develop students’ skills to deal with a wide range of challenges encountered in the translation of different text types and to introduce students to the concept of translation in general and to Translation Studies as a discipline.
Course Content: 

Different approaches to translation studies. Cultural turn in translation studies. Strategies of translation. Theoretical discussions and practical work on different translation types.
