Course Objectives: 
To give basic information about the origin of the Turkish language, its historical and contemporary dialects.
Course Content: 

 The origin of the Turkish language, language kinship and the opinions put forward on these issues are evaluated. Ural-Altaic language theory, periods of Turkish language, written and spoken literary languages ​​and works of historical Turkish language are emphasized.
