Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to help students learn basic issues of society with an economical perspective. Students are supposed to learn historical and contemporary theories on economy-society. Having knowledge on basic economic issues besides their sociological background, they are assumed to get ready to Professional life in organizations.
Course Content: 

The content of the course is twofold: It both covers thoughts of classical  and contemporary sociologists on economy; and fundamental economical-sociological issues such as markets, money, networks, wealth, inequality etc. With a perspective not separating ‘economic’ from ‘social,’ course covers its topics with an interdisciplinary perspective
