Course Objectives: 
To scrutinize how contemporary theories of society conceptualized teh central themes in sociology, such as human nature, individual agency, social structure, social change, modernity, rationalization, and power and how they explained social dynamics, such as the relationship between the individual and the society; the role of religion in society; and economic development and social change.
Course Content: 

Various schools of sociological thought, including structural functionalism, symbolic interactionism, critical theory, feminism, sructuralism, post-structuralism, and postmodernism.
