Course Objectives: 
The aim of this course is to analyze the sociological aspects of crime, and to discuss deviance and deviant behavior in modern societies
Course Content: 

The following topics are covered by the scope of this course:

Classical and modern crime theories, nature and reasons of criminality, industrialization, urbanization, analysis of correlation between crime and social and cultural change, new criminology trends (Feminist, Marxist and Radical Criminology), new types of crıme, Crime and criminality in Turkey, relation of crime and justice system, crime prevention approaches, social deviance and deviant behavior.
