Our Department has been accredited by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Language History-Geography Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Commission (FEDEK)*.
*FEDEK, FEF programs have been recognized by the Higher Education Council (YÖK) as national quality assurance institutions.
Our undergraduate program has FEDEK accreditation which is valid between 2019-2024.
MATHEMATICS DEPARTMENT UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM TEACHING OBJECTIVES
TO1: Provides a basic mathematics education;
TO1a. Provides introductory courses to mathematics education such as limit, derivative, integral calculus, logic, linear algebra, discrete mathematics. (FEDEK I,II,III,VI,VII)
TO1b. Provides basic courses in sub-disciplines such as analysis, algebra, differential equations and differential geometry, which are the basic research areas of mathematics. (FEDEK I,II,III,VI,VII)
TO1c. Provides students with a wide portfolio of elective courses in mathematics and related fields with advisor support and an appropriate curriculum, supporting the formation of their own academic identities and future plans. (FEDEK III,IV,V,VI,VII,XI)
TO2: Supports students in developing their intellectual levels, social responsibility understanding and communication skills;
TO2a. Supports students in developing their knowledge and skills levels outside their professional fields, and their professional and social ethical awareness. (FEDEK VIII,X,XI)
TO2b. Supports students to become individuals who can communicate effectively and work interdisciplinary. Increasing their skills in accessing information and using information technologies. Supports students to transform their academic and social identities acquired during their undergraduate education into a lifelong learning process. (FEDEK V,IX)
