A license agreement has been signed between TÜBİTAK and Yeditepe University through TÜBİTAK Technology Transfer Office and Yeditepe University Technology Transfer Office (YUTTO) for the Infrared Ear Thermometer (IRET) Reference Calibration System implemented by TÜBİTAK UME Medical Metrology Laboratory and Temperature Laboratory.

Intellectual property rights of the Infrared Ear Thermometer (IRET) Reference Calibration System, which gained importance in terms of being the first technology transfer of TÜBİTAK UME, were transferred to Yeditepe University with this agreement.

Yeditepe University Physics Department Metrology and Calibration Laboratory (YUKAL) will produce the device that will be able to calibrate the Infrared Ear Thermometer (IRET) and infrared ear thermometers in accordance with the relevant standards and within the traceability chain.

As a result of the production of the device, the existing relations between Yeditepe University Physics Department (YUKAL) and the industry will become stronger, thus it will be possible for us to reach the goals included in the development plan.
