Course Objectives: 
To develop skills in simultaneous interpreting. In addition, through classroom, lab and field experiences, students practice interpretation modes they have learned in the program and improve all aspects of their interpreting while observing and forming good professional habits
Course Content: 

This course starts with an introduction to simultaneous interpreting techniques and exercises to help students develop their skills required to work as a professional interpreter for international conference setting and assignments. Self-assessment, professional understanding and understanding the interpretering philosophy are aimed to be developed

Course Methodology:

There will be no midterm but classwork will constitute 50% of the grade.

Journals will constitute 10% of their grade

The final presentation will consist of the listening, note-taking and interpreting of ten-minute speeches and will constitude 50% of their grade.
