The Symposium on the Development of Scientific / Academic Disciplines in the Republic of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, where the opening speech was made by the Honorary and Founding President of our University, Mr. Bedrettin DALAN, was held on 7 - 8 December 2023 with the honor of our Rector Prof. Canan AYKUT BİNGÖL, and Vice Rectors Prof. Ahmet AYDIN, Prof. Yeşim EKİNCİ, Prof. İpek KARAASLAN. At the beginning of the Symposium, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Prof. Dr. Berrin YANIKKAYA, made their welcoming speech.

During the Symposium, simultaneous translation support was provided by students and academicians of the Department of Translation Studies.

The Symposium invited speakers from within our University and from outside in the disciplines of Anthropology, Translation and Interpreting Studies, Philosophy, Physics, English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Psychology, Russian Language and Literature, Sociology, History, Turkish Language and Literature within our Faculty shared information about the development of their disciplines in the Republic.

We want to thank our invited speakers and the students, academics, and employees who attended the Symposium that was organized in honor of the 100th anniversary of our Republic for their interest.

The first two series of our faculty podcast series trilogy, "The Concept of Time" and "The Concept of Space/Space", were published in three episodes each in 2021 and 2022. (Part 1: Philosophy, Physics and Mathematics, Part 2: Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, History, Part 3: Turkish Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, Translation Studies)

The last part of the podcast trilogy is "Enlightenment and Industrial Revolution" podcast series. The 1st episode is Philosophy, Physics and Mathematics, the 2nd episode is Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, History and the 3rd episode is Turkish Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Russian Language and Literature, Translation Studies. It was published by our departments and published within the scope of the 2023 Spring Semester.

“100 Scientific/Cultural Figures in 100 Years” Social Media Posts: The sharing series, which is planned to start on July 21, 2023 and end on October 29, 2023, includes promotional/reminder texts and photographs about scientific and cultural people who have made significant contributions to science and culture in the disciplines within our Faculty. A series of designs were prepared and shared on the Faculty's Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn social media accounts.
