Sponsored by the Russian Federation Education and Culture Agency – Rossotrudnychestvo and Moscow State Linguistic University, the event was attended by 100 Russian language and literature experts from 24 European countries.
At the official opening of the event on October 22, 2025, Russia was represented by Pavel Shevtsov, Vice President of Rossotrudnychestvo; Prof. Irina Kraeva, Rector of Moscow State Linguistic University; Aleksandr Sotnychenko, Director of Rossotrudnychestvo Ankara; Prof. Ekaterina Poholkova, Dean of the Faculty of Translation at Moscow State Linguistic University. On behalf of Yeditepe University, Prof. Dr. Ece Ceylan Baba, Vice Rector of the University and Prof. Dr. Demet Lüküslü, Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences contributed.
Experts attending the event, hosted by the Department of Russian Language and Literature in Yeditepe University, had the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences during roundtable discussions. The seminars given by language experts from Moscow State Linguistic University mainly focused on such topics as the development of the Russian language and new approaches to education and teaching. As a part of the event, an interactive lesson was held for students of the Russian Language and Literature Department.
