About Screening Exam - 2026 Fall

For students planning to specialize in conference interpreting, the Screening Exam will be held on Thursday, 27 August 2026 in the Simultaneous Interpreting Laboratory (GSF 417).

The examination schedule will be determined according to the number of applicants and will be announced at a later date.

Requirements

Students applying for the exam must meet the following criteria:

• Have completed their sixth semester at the Department of Translation and Interpreting,
• Have successfully completed the following courses and obtained a minimum overall grade point average of BB (3.00) in these courses:
  • INT 203 – Introduction to Interpreting
  • INT 204 – Practical Interpreting Studies
  • INT 303 – Consecutive Interpreting
  • INT 304 – Fundamental Skills in Simultaneous Interpreting 

Students wishing to apply must submit the following documents to the Head of Department between 9–20 August 2026, either online or in person:

• Current transcript
• A signed petition stating the intention to take the examination
