We hosted Sevgi Adak from Aga Khan University in the SOC409 Social Sciences Colloquium course on 13.05.2024. Sevgi Adak presented her article "Revisiting feminist historiography on women's activism in Turkey: beyond the grand narrative beyond the waves", which she wrote together with Selin Çağatay. We talked about feminist historiography in Turkey, wave metaphor, feminist wave analysis, Kemalist woman activism, Kemalist and socialist activisms. In addition, we touched upon issues such as body policy, women's labor rights, and equal payment. We are gratefull for providing information about the her studies and answering our questions.
