Educational Goals (EG) of the Undergraduate Program

The first purpose and existential reason of our program is to furnish our students with a mathematics education in the fundamentals of mathematics in a manner which will provide them a solid foundation (EG1).  Mathematics Education can be considered under three main clusters; Introductory math classes (EG1a), Compulsory math classes (EG1b) and Elective math classes (EG1c).

The secondary purpose of the program is to support our students in their efforts to increase their intellectual levels, their understanding of social responsibilities and their communication skills (EG2). It is possible to divide this goal further into two parts: (EG2a) to increase their awareness of social ethics and responsibilities and, (EG2a) to support them in the process of improving their abilities in the information technologies as well as in the duration of transfering their academical and social identites obtained in their undergraduate education into a life-long learning experience. To sum up the Educational Goals (EG) of our undergraduate program are

EG1: To provide the fundamentals in Mathematics Education;

EG1a. To teach the introductory level classes involving topics such as limit, derivative, integral, logic, linear algebra and discrete mathematics.

EG1b. To teach the fundamental level classes for subdisciplines like analysis, algebra, differential equations and differential geometry.

EG1c. To support the students in their efforts to shape their academical identity and future plans by the means of effective consulting and suitable curriculum which offres a wide array of elective courses related to mathematics and connected fields.

EG2: To assist the students in their endeavor to improve thier intellectual standings, their understanding of social responsibilities and communication skills;

EG2a. To give support to the students who wish to develop their knowledge and abilities and increase their understanding of professional and social ethics in fields other than their own. ğrencilerin profesyonel alanları dışındaki bilgi ve beceri düzeylerini, mesleki ve sosyal etik bilinçlerini geliştirmelerinin desteklenmesi.

EG2b. Öğrencilerin etkili iletişim kurabile, disiplinlerarası çalışma yapabilen bireyler olmasının desteklenmesi. Bilgiye ulaşma vebilgi teknolojilerini kullanma becerilerinin arttırılması. Öğrencilerin lisans eğitimi süresince edindikleri akademik ve sosyal kimliklerini yaşam boyu öğrenme sürecine dönüştürmelerinin desteklenmesi.

Undergraduate Program Outputs (PO)
